Sometimes it's better not to interfere and just let people do things their own way. Here's an expression you can use to say 'I'm letting them handle it alone'. We’re learning the expression 'leave to one's own devices'. We use it to say that we allow someone to make their own decisions or figure something out without any help or supervision. It's quite versatile and you'll hear it a lot in everyday speech.
